We are residents and fellows united to create a more just and equitable work environment for all healthcare workers at Mass General Brigham.

Our union was officially recognized by the NLRB after the conclusion of a secret ballot election, with 1215 YES to 412 NO votes.

The Unified Voice of MGB Housestaff

Thousands of residents and fellows from across the Mass General Brigham (MGB) system have come together to fight for better working conditions and better care for our patients. MGB trainees need a seat at the table to ensure that our healthcare system treats workers and patients with dignity and respect.

The work continues

Organize: we heard from you

Collect cards: majority signed

File with the NLRB: done

Win our election: 75% YES!

Negotiate our first contract ← we are here

Hearing strange things from MGB leadership?

MGB obviously doesn’t want a union. So they spent big bucks to hire Jackson Lewis, a notorious anti-union law firm, who wrote nonsense for your admins to say.

Do you have questions about unions?

Of course you do! This is probably your first union, unless you were lucky to have a union during a prior residency, fellowship, or job!

We have lots of answers.
