Where & when to vote

There will be in-person voting at all eight hospitals. Dates and times of day for each hospital will vary.

We want to make sure every resident and fellow has a date, time, and place that will make it possible for them to vote.

Voting is secret ballot and conducted by the NLRB, a federal agency.

Salary. Family leave. Patient care funds. Work hour reform. Equipment. Housing. Meals. Childcare.

If you can name it, housestaff unions have won it.

MGB’s crack team of union-busting lawyers are going to pull out all the stops in the last few weeks.

But sadly, they’re not housestaff. They neither know nor care what housestaff really need. No quantity of ghostwritten emails, feel-good videos, or pleading speeches by admins will fix that.

Federal law gives employees rights. Your supervisors cannot ask you how you are voting. They cannot threaten or promise future benefits depending on how you feel about the union.

These tactics are illegal. If they happen, let us know so we can report it to the proper authorities.

Would you trust UnitedHealth or Humana to tell you if Medicare for all is a good idea?
